Smarter Detection With This New AI Dental Diagnostic Tool

Sometimes small vertical cracks in teeth are hard to identify, even with the latest digital x-ray technology. Until now.

Welcome to the world of InnerView, a handheld device that we’re currently implementing for use here at South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry. With this tool we can simply and lightly touch a tooth for a few seconds and, without any radiation or patient discomfort, measure tooth mobility and spot underlying issues like cracks and micro-movement. Information is instantly compared to previously established norms through AI generated algorithms, allowing us to detect issues like cracks in teeth, excessive mobility, loose crowns or bridges, loose abutment screws (the part of the implant that secures the replacement tooth to the implant tooth “root”) and fractured implants BEFORE the issue shows up on x-rays and BEFORE you feel pain and further complications arise.

This FDA-approved, non-invasive device is new to dentistry, and we’re proud to be one of the first practices in the country to utilize it to help us make more informed decisions for early detection of fractured teeth, implant problems or failing restorations.

Stay tuned for more updates on this revolutionary, unique new diagnostic device. We predict it will become a standard tool for periodontists, endodontists and general dentists. At South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, we’re very proud to pave the way for what just may be considered the best dental innovation since the x-ray! InnerView from Perimetrics.AI will transform dentistry. You can learn more about this early diagnostic tool here.
