Dr. Chocron earned his DMD degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada where he graduated with distinction for academic excellence. There, he completed research on dental materials science. Subsequently, he did his general practice residency at the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he treated dental and facial emergencies. He received training treating medically compromised patients in an emergency room and operating room setting. He then returned to Canada and worked as a general dentist in a multi-specialty practice. He thrived in a private practice environment that provided total patient care.
Dr. Chocron relocated to South Florida for his periodontology residency at Nova Southeastern University. He completed research on outcomes of guided tissue regeneration procedures throughout his residency. He received a first-place award for his research at the International Team for Implantology (ITI) conference.
Dr. Chocron has lectured for the South Florida chapter of the AAID MaxiCourse on crown lengthening and soft tissue procedures. He also has lectured to dental students on topics such as the perio-systemic link, microbiology and periodontal disease.
In his spare time, he enjoys the Florida beaches, tennis and playing guitar. He is fluent in English and French.
